                             Yama theatre productions

Welcome to the unstable world of fictional autobiography.

We are now available for private bookings.
(Dead Happy only)

We offer two plays, which can be booked for private functions in domestic settings.  This has proven extremely popular. Theatre in your own home: how cool is that?

The shows are, of course, available for booking in small venues (including non-theatre venues).  They can be run with little or no technical support, making them ideal for rural touring.
Yama Theatre are very keen to bring high quality challenging theatre to communities that might not otherwise have access to it.  See our Bookings page for specifications and details.

DEAD HAPPY
Mild-mannered Funeral Director Francis Putlock has a violent past. He has seen many things, and done worse, but is he alive or dead? Join him on an unforgettable journey through life, death and transformation. Have a tissue handy.
"Francis Putlock is a brilliant creation" ****Fringeguru

First performed at the Brighton Fringe in 2013, this is now an old favourite.

For more details visit our dedicated
Dead Happy page.

DOG, a former graffiti legend, is about to throw a piece on your living room wall in this darkly comic radical reworking of the Pinocchio myth.  Prepare to be delighted and confounded and to have your credulity tested to the max in this thrilling exploration of toxic dreams, identity, aspiration, and the Big Question of existence itself.
"A masterclass in character development" FringeReview
:  Must See Show 2018

Are Strings Attached? premiered at Brighton Fringe Festival in May 2017, and enjoyed a sell-out run before returning in 2018. See our dedicated Are Strings Attached? page for more details.

Theatre At Your House.  How it works:  Well, it's a social experiment.  It's up to you to decide how many friends you wish to attend the performance. Will you share the cost, or give it as a present? You could have a meal together, and afterwards the entertainment arrives at your door! This way, a unique audience is formed of people who all know one another.  Almost like a family. If ten people attend, it's cheap as chips!  So if you are looking for high quality theatre with a difference, this is the place to be. You won't forget it.

The shows have been performed in many different spaces, with audiences ranging from 120 in a theatre venue, to a party of dinner guests sitting round a table - and on two occasions the plays have been performed to a cosy couple lounging in bed!  Yes.  Honestly.  It's entirely up to you how you enjoy it.  But one thing is certain: you will never have another theatrical experience quite like this one...

Requirements:
The actor doesn't need much room, but he will need a chair. A dining chair is best. The Stage Manager will help you before the performance.
